Ideal for irrigation based agriculture

The GBug gives you a comprehensive picture of soil moisture in the root zone and throughout the soil profile, capturing data every 2 hours from up to four gypsum block sensors (see right) buried at different depths, ideal for irrigation based agriculture.

Collecting soil moisture data

The logged data stored in the GBug is quickly and easily collected using a data ‘Retriever’. Soil moisture data can be viewed in field, or downloaded and displayed on a PC. Software allows you to view soil moisture over time at all depths, as a graph or table.

Reduce or eliminate over-watering

You can now clearly see the soil drying out, helping you work out when the plants actually need water and also how quickly the root zone wets up after irrigation, helping to reduce or eliminate over-watering.
